Viral Video of Cynthia Villar – During the recent online Senate Session, Senator Villar was caught off guard and her video went viral.
Complying to the protocol of enhanced community quarantine, Senators conducted their session through the internet so that they can still discuss issues and problems even though they are not meeting face-to-face.
However, a light moment during the said session made them laugh. Apparently, Senator Villar was not aware that her microphone for the video conferencing was on when she called out to a certain person named “Diane”.
At that time, Senator Migz Zubiri was the one speaking but suddenly the voice of Senator Villar was heard. “Oh, anong sagot dito Diane?” the female lawmaker said.
Then, her video feed was highlighted and she repeated her call to Diane. It can be heard that other Senators were laughing and Villar noticed that her mic was on and said sorry.
“Mr. President, we are having some technical difficulties with Senator Villar’s microphone,” Senator Zubiri said. Then, Senator Sonny Angara quipped, “I moved that Diane may be recognized, Mr. President.” And that even garnered more laughter from other lawmakers. “It’s alright now, she has muted her mic,” Senator Tito Sotto answered.
