Cebuana Beauty Queen Maria Sesaldo Gigante & Boyfriend Arrested After Breaching ECQ Orders
The Cebuana beauty queen Maria Sesaldo Gigante together with her boyfriend gets jailed after violating the lockdown protocols.
On Sunday (May 10, 2020), the Cebuana model Maria Gigante and her foreigner boyfriend Javier Filosa Castro have been arrested for allegedly violating the enhanced community quarantine order.
The couple reportedly traveled heading to a beach in Moalboal town, southwest Cebu for swimming. The two breached the lockdown protocols imposed by the government to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease.
Moalboal police chief Capt. Alvino Enguito said that they tried to call the attention of the two but they continue to travel and get past through several checkpoints after they were initially spotted at Moalboal town in Cebu City.
Enguito said that they requested Gigante and her 35-year-old boyfriend to go home but the couple neglected them and went to the Panagsama Beach in Barangay Basdiot for swimming.
“We’ve been calling their attention and yet they continue to disregard our advice,” Enguito said.
The 26-year-old Maria Gigante rose to fame after joining the first Bininibing Cebu pageant and won the title Binibining Cebu Charity in 2017.
