Joyride Rider Earn Praise for Surrendering Pack of Bread with Drugs Inside

Nowadays, since the Philippine government implemented enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) to contain the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), are not allowed to go outside without any essentials purposes.

As a result, people are forced to buy needs such as foods and sanity essentials through delivery by a ride-hailing services. People will just book riders to give them services they need.

However, some of the customers are inconsiderate and being disrespectful to delivery riders. Like this case where a customer put the job and the life of the rider at risk of law.

Recently, in a video post by Philippines CCTV & DASH CAM Spotted, an observant rider of Joyride immediately surrendered the pack of loaf bread he supposed to deliver to his customer.

In the video, the rider went to authorities to let them check, also to witness what is inside the bread. One of the authorities open the plastic and check the bread, the rider also clarified that he didn’t open it before he brings it to them.

The kagawad voluntarily open the said bread and check them by piece. Then while on the mid part of bread a piece of plastic appeared containing a small amount of suspected marijuana.

This prompted after he notice something inside the bread. He also said that he doubted why the bread like this cost expensive and why just a piece of bread will be delivered at a far area even though there are lot of stores in there.

The video has gone viral on social media after it was posted. The rider earned praise from the netizens for his instinct. However, some netizens said, he should first report it to the police before he uploaded the video for security assurance.
