Food Donor Trying To Pass ECQ Checkpoint Arrested With Drugs
FOOD DONOR ARRESTED – A man who pretended to donate food to police frontliners got caught with P152,000 worth of drugs.
Amid the coronavirus quarantine, there will always be those who try to profit from it. There are people who overprice essential goods and there are others who still try to sell illegal drugs even with all the checkpoints.
However, one of the sellers decided to pretend to be a food donor so he could pass through quarantine checkpoints. Although, this didn’t play out the way he wanted to.

The suspect was caught with illegal drugs in Barangay Lolomboy, Bocaue Town. Furthermore, authorities identified the suspect as Anthony Medina, 39 from Barangay Gaya Gaya, San Jose Del Monte City.
Medina was also a tattoo artist who happened to be on the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s (PDEA) drug watch list.
According to an article from PNA, Col. Rizalino Andaya, Bocaue chief of police said officers flagged the suspect riding a motorcycle around 2:50 P.M.
Andaya stated that as he entered the checkpoint, he was asked to reveal his quarantine pass. However, while doing so, the police noticed the suspect becoming anxious.
Furthermore, while he was taking the quarantine pass out of his pocket, the police saw a small sachet containing shabu. Afterward, the authorities immediately did a protective search on Medina.
The authorities seized 25 grams of shabu estimated at P152,500. Additionally, the police also found a weighing scale and some drug paraphernalia.
As such, the suspect is now facing illegal drug charges.
