Watch TV Patrol on these platforms
ABS-CBN’s primetime news program TV Patrol used other platforms in order to continue its broadcast after the Kapamilya network went off-air.
Following the cease and desist order from the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), ABS-CBN had to follow and stop its broadcast. This saddened many avid viewers of the Kapamilya network.
Though shootings and taping are temporarily postponed, some shows used live streaming to still continue giving content to the viewers. As a news program, TV Patrol that has been airing since 1987, also continues to air amid the enhanced community quarantine due to COVID-19.
The said program has featured various news anchors throughout the years. Currently, the main news anchors are Ted Failon, Noli de Castro, and Bernadette Sembrano.
However, since ABS-CBN was enforced to shutdown, the news program has to use other platforms to still bring the latest news and current events to the people.
Based on the recent Twitter post of ABS-CBN PR, starting May 7, people can watch the news program on the official Facebook and YouTube account of the Kapamilya network. It can also be watched on The Filipino Channel.
“Maglilingkod sa inyo saan man sa mundo. Hindi po napako ang pangakong binitawan sa mamayang Pilipino. Subaybayan ang muling pagpapatrol ng #TVPatrol ngayong 6:25 pm! #LabanKapamilya,” the post stated.
Meanwhile, in a recent report, 13 Senators filed a resolution urging the NTC to reconsider its decision to shut down the ABS-CBN. Reportedly, the Senators who rallied behind the network and signed in the resolution filed on Thursday were:
