As the public health crisis still continues, the government is already distributing relief goods and giving cash aid or known as the Social Amelioration Program to help the residents whose jobs were affected by the lockdown protocols.

However, there are reports of SAP beneficiaries were arrested for committing crimes amid the existing enhanced community quarantine. On the bright side, there are honest people who returned the cash received for some serious reasons.

In a Facebook post of Philippine News Agency (PNA), Helen Segura, a native ‘Ati’ of San Enrique, Iloilo has returned the P6,000 cash assistance she received from the social amelioration program (SAP).

According to the post, Segura returned the received cash because she is already a member of 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) and she also revealed that she already received allowance allocated for active member like her.

Meanwhile, many netizens praise and admired her for being honest. Ati like Segura are native or indigenous people living in Visayas. Genetically, they are related to other Negrito ethnic groups such as the Aeta, Batak, and Mamanwa.
