Lady Netizen Complains Against Landlord for Cutting Water & Electricity Amid Health Crisis
A lady netizen complained against the landlord of her parents “Pinutulan ng tubig at kuryente” amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Over the past few weeks, numerous Filipino people are already expressing their sentiments after their jobs and livelihoods have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak. Many of our countrymen only rely on the government’s help.
President Rodrigo Duterte warned landlords against evicting tenants amid the health crisis in the country due to the loss of income of some Filipinos.
A Facebook user named Pol Helen has expressed her disappointment towards the landlord of her beloved parents for cutting the supply of water and electricity. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
Helen said that her father is just a pedicab driver and he did not earn any amount since President Duterte placed the entire Luzon under an enhanced community quarantine.
The disappointed woman said that her parents fail to pay their water and electricity bill due to the lack of income. Her parents also begged their landlord to give them some time to pay after the lockdown.
Unfortunately, the landlord refused to accept the plead and cut their water and electricity supply despite the order of President Duterte to exempt the less-fortunate families from the consequences of failing to pay bills due to ECQ.

“Bat naman po ganto yung sinapit nila kala koba yong patakaran ni pangulong du30 walang singil sa nangungupahan. Pero ganto ung nanyari sa mga magulang ko. Ang nakakaawa lang don ung dalawang bata. Lalo na ngayun mainit ang panahon.ngayun pinutulan sila ng kuryenti saka tubig ngayun. Sakadahilang hindi nakabayad sa kuryinti at tubig. Nag papadjak lang po yong tatay ko. Kaya wala pong income. Simula nung nag quarantine . wala napo siyang kita.. Nung nag reding sila ng kuryinti at tubig nakiusp payong tatay ko. Saknila na.pag ok na ung araw. Makakabayad nasila.. Pero hindi nila pinkingan yong pakiusap. Ng tatay ko. Wala naman sapat na pera sila para maibayad. Saknila. Pero tinoloy padin ung pag potol sa koryinti at tubig. Paki share namn po. Para makarating sa kinakataas taasan. Maraming salamat.. Po”
