37-Year-Old Woman Corpse Found In Calape Town, Bohol
CALAPE TOWN – A corpse of a 37-year-old woman was found in a grassy area near a remote barangay road in Calape town in Bohol.
Calape Police Station Chief Major Julius Garcia said that the body, identified as Lucina Cuago of Brgy. San Isidro, was discovered by her spouse in Sitio Catigcan, about two kilometers away from their residence at around 1:40 PM Wednesday, according to a report from Bohol Chronicles.
“Very isolated ang area wala siya’y mga bay or mga taw didto,”
Her husband said that Lucina was on her bike ride routine early morning before he was prompted to look for her at 11 AM several hours after she did not return. It took a couple of hours that he found his wife lifeless.
It has been speculated that she might have been strangled or choked to death based on the bruises on her shoulder and neck.
“Mura’g gigamit ang strap sa iyang helmet sa pag strangulate,”
Police are yet to receive the results of her autopsy to see if she was raped or not but their probe states that her clothes seems intact.
“Dili pa ta ka-ingon kung na rape siya kay wala pay resulta sa atoang crime laboratory pero based sa among pag tan-aw didto, intact man iyang sanina ug iyang underwear ug ang iyang upper garment, mura’g wa hilabti. But we cannot conclude yet na wala nahitabo so atong hulaton ang examination,”
As per the report, Garcia added that they are yet to look for multiple possible angles to know the motive of the crime, including her lending racket.
The are also probing several infamous people in the town in a way to track down her killer yet they couldn’t single out suspects.
