PAGASA – Intertropical Convergence Zone To Affect Southern Mindanao This April 28, 2020

PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this April 28, 2020.

The early morning forecast from the state weather bureau states that the Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect southern Mindanao on this day.

According to a report from GMA News, the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorm over Sarangani and Davao Occidental.

The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides that might occur especially during severe thunderstorm.

Meanwhile, the northeasterly surface windflow (NESWF) will bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands.

Lastly, the warm winds from the east or easterlies, as well as localized thunderstorm will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Based on the report, for the forecast wind speed, the northern and western sections of northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds that are moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the east to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
