According to RMN, a joint operation conducted by the PNP in the said town and Rizal, was successful as they arrested the accused, identified as Wilmer Tabuc, aged 36, a widower who previously worked as a farmer and a former resident of Brgy. Bural, Rizal, Cagayan. He currently resided in Brgy. Battalan in the said town.

Tabuc was arrested with a warrant that was issued by judge Edmar P Castillo Sr, of RTC Branch 11, Tuao, Cagayan. The warrant was issued because Tabuc was accused three times due to a kidnapping case with Homicide.
