BJMP Region 6 Confirms One of Its Personnel Tested Positive for COVID-19

BJMP REGION 6 – A personnel of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in Region 6 tested positive for COVID-19.

The Philippines is currently under a health crisis. There are confirmed cases of coronavirus or COVID-19 in the country. The said disease has claimed over 500 lives in the country.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), there is now a total of 7,579 cases of coronavirus confirmed in the country. Out of the total number, 862 patients have recovered from the disease.

Region 6 is one of the regions with confirmed cases of coronavirus. Several provinces in the said region are now implementing an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) to curb the spread of the disease.

BJMP Region 6 Personnel COVID-19

Recently, another case of coronavirus was recorded in Region 6. The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in the region confirmed that one of its personnel tested positive for the disease.

Based on a report of Aksyon Radyo Bacolod, the said BJMP Region 6 personnel who tested positive for COVID-19 who was assigned at the Regional Office was immediately isolated. There are doctors and nurses assigned to monitor the condition of the patient.

According to BJMP Region 6 Director Jail Superintendent Baby Noel Montalvo, a contact tracing is now being conducted. Also, all the personnel assigned in the Regional Office are now under a quarantine.

Based on the post, the BJMP assured that they are coordinating with the Department of Health (DOH) over the matter. Also, the Bureau is in coordination with the local epidemiology unit in Iloilo City.
