Six Persons In Molo, Iloilo City Nabbed For Illegal Gambling

ILOILO CITY – Six individuals in Barangay Boulevard, Molo, Iloilo City, were arrested by the police for engaging in illegal gambling.

According to Panay News, the individuals were identified as the following:

  • Jake Portillo, aged 52
  • Raul Antiquia, aged 55
  • Rocenel Soloriano, aged 50
  • Jaime Nodado, aged 49
  • Luzvilla Morin, aged 60
  • Marvin Domingo, aged 34

Reports from the local police shows that Portillo, Antiquia and Soloriano were identified as beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4Ps.

They were arrested after cops caught them red-handed for playing pusoy at around 9:30 PM.

The police added that recovered from their possession were bet money worth at about ₱6,100 and two sets of playing cards.

As per the report, the six individuals were detained in a lockup cell of the Molo police station. They will be charged for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, also known as the anti-illegal gambling law.

Officials enhanced their crackdown against all forms of illegal gambling after reports that some locals use their cash aids to gamble and engage in drinking sprees amid the quarantine in the city.
