Dog Becomes Frontliner Accompanies Officials Patrolling in Barangay amid ECQ

PASAY CITY – a pet dog becomes frontliner for accompanying barangay officials patrolling amid the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Recently, a volunteer worker of Barangay 132 M. Dela Cruz, Pasay City named Perlita Hermandos Saldo shared his pet dog named Wacky where he was considered as frontliner and also a volunteer to enforce enhanced community quarantine.

In her Facebook post, her dog accompanies officials as they handed out relief goods and secured the area in their Barangay. Wacky even wears an ID that proudly declares him, Wacky del Rosario, as a barangay police dog, with the message “#StaySafe” and “StayAtHome.”

Wacky, is always on standby and guarded the Barangay Hall. Even though a dog, he’s still required to wear face mask as the government strictly ordered it to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Meanwhile, Wacky has gone viral on social media as many netizens were shockingly amazed because even though he is a pet he still able to help people to fight against the deadly virus. Netizens also show their pets who were also a frontliner like Wacky.
