Leni Robredo Raises P55M For COVID-19 Fight As She Turns 55
LENI ROBREDO – Vice President Leni Robredo announced that she has raised P55 million for 2019 novel coronavirus fight as she turns 55.
Vice President Lei Robredo is stepping up in helping the county fight the invisible enemy. She collaborated with fashion designer Mich Dulce in producing more personal protective equipment (PPE) for the doctors and nurses.
The Bicolana politician plans to provide lots of protective gear for the frontliners in the country. Last month, she said they have collected P17.3 million for COVID-19 frontliners.
Leni Robredo turned 55 today, April 23. Her three daughters Aika, Tricia, and Jillian baked a carrot cake for her. Her eldest daughter Aika shared their lovely photo on her Instagram account. It came with a caption, “Happy Birthday to my Mama, whose quiet (and often underrated) carries us through so many life’s surprises.“
On Tuesday, April 21, Leni Robredo updated her Facebook followers on her fund drive for fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. She revealed that they have so far raised P55.8 million.
In the caption of the post, she wrote: “55M @55 [heart emoji]”
Leni Robredo also showed the breakdown of donations including the 5.99 million pesos from her office. Aside from her fund drive, she also provides dormitories, free shuttle service, and care packages for the frontliners.
