Trillanes Defends People Going Out Amid ECQ Earns Various Reactions

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV earned various reactions from his Twitter post defending people who still goes outside amid enhanced community qauarantine.

Recently, the former senator Trillanes said on his Twitter post that people should not condemn the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) violators, believing that they only do it for some important matters.

In his Twitter post, Trillanes listed the possible reason why people were forced to go out of their house and violate the ECQ. In his list, he includes going to job, market, or hospital while others can’t resist the heat in their home and others are street dwellers.

His twitter earns negative and positive comments from the netizens. Followers of Trillanes agreed with the former Senator’s thoughts. Some netizen praises him for such a long time in social media he finally posts something good.

Meanwhile, some netizens have negative comments where they condemn his view for the people who still continue go outside and violate the enhanced community quarantine rules.

Philippine National Police, on April 10 recorded 99,326 violators of ECQ. Most people on that number, 58,051 were from Luzon; 18,124 came from Visayas; and 23,151 were from Mindanao.

To address the rising numbers of violators, President Rodrigo Duterte will implement a martial law-like ECQ rules. The President also said that people caught gambling or drinking should not hope for any assistance from the government.
