According to the report, the suspects invested P6,700 in the drug business, police confiscated a shabu worth P34,000. The suspect was identified as Elvie Flores, her children Angelito and Nathali, and her accomplice Raquel Bona.

The suspects were arrested Monday in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City amid the existing enhanced community quarantine, implemented by the government to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

It also found out that Elvie and Bona, both beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, each received P6,700 cash aid. Authorities suspect that the arrested persons used the cash assistance as capital for their drugs business.

“Yong kaniyang anak, ginagamit na tagapag-abot ‘pag may bumibili ng droga. Siya yong ginagamit na runner and then yong kaniyang balae, base sa ating imbestigasyon ay gumagamit din o kumukuha,” said Police Captain Randy Llanderal, commander ng Quezon City Police District Station 11 Deputy Station.

Elvie admitted that she had been selling illegal drugs with her children for three years. However, the suspects say they use the money received to buy food supply, but the authorities have different views.
