DepEd Ready to Release Public School Teachers 13th Month Pay in May

Manila, Philippine – The Department of Education (DepEd) is ready to release the 13th month pay of the public school teachers by May 15.

Education Undersecretary Annalyn Sevilla said on Tuesday that the 13-month pay is on top of other assistance that the department has given to teachers and employees to cope with the coronavirus pandemic.

“Ang ating 13th month pay ay atin nang pinoproseso at ready na rin for release by May 15,” Sevilla said in a virtual press briefing.

According to the report of ABS-CBN News, he said the agency has also released teachers’ salaries for March and April, and their salaries are being processed for the month of May.

“We have already released all salaries for March and April. Yung May is processing narin ngayon. Yung clothing allowance na Php 6,000 per employee ay nakuha narin ng ating mga empleyado,” Sevilla said.

The clothing allowance worth P6,000 was also given to all employees. As well as Performance-based bonuses are also in processed, which have also been released in some regions.

“Amin narin pong inaasikaso ang kanilang performance-based bonus at may mga regions na po na nakatanggap ditto,” Sevilla added.
