A Woman who Was Declared Dead Wakes Up in a Body Bag in Funeral
PARAGUAY – a woman in Coronel Oviedo, Paraguay was declared dead only to then wakes up in a body bag after being taken to a funeral home.
One woman in Paraguay couldn’t believe she would wake up in a body bag after being found dead in a hospital. The 46-year-old Gladys Rodríguez Duarte’s body is set to undergo mass service after doctors at the San Fernando Clinic in Coronel Oviedo City declared it dead.
According to the report, the patient was taken to the hospital after his condition deteriorated and blood pressure increased. After about two hours, the doctor told her he was alive and immediately informed his family member.
But while in the body bag, Duarte woke up and immediately asked for help. Funeral staff was surprised by the sudden movement of the body bag which they quickly opened.
Patients who were being monitored were immediately taken to Paraguay’s Social Welfare Institute medical facilities. She is now being treated in intensive care where she is described as being in a “delicate but stable” condition.
Based on the report, Duarte’s husband Maximino Duarte Ferreira has reportedly filed a complaint against the doctor. He claimed that the medic no longer wanted to treat her, so decided to declare her dead.
