Female Doctor Plowed by Truck in Manila While Riding Bicycle

A female doctor was killed after she was hit by a truck while riding a bicycle amid transportation ban in Pandacan, Manila.

According to the report of Manila Police District, the victim was identified as Dr. Ma. Teresa Dajao y Ballat, 54, married, lives in Saint Louie Compound, Balagtas, Pandacan. She was on her way home from Kahilum Health Center when he was hit by a 10-wheeler truck.

Based on the report of GMA News, the incident happened on President Quirino Avenue in West Zamora around 4:20 Wednesday afternoon. Both the victim and a truck drove the northbound lane of Pres. Quirino Avenue.

When the victim and the truck arrived at the corner of West Zamora Street, the front of the truck hit the rear of the victim’s bike. Due to the strong force of the collision, the victim was lying on the road and got some wounds in some parts of the body.

The victim was rushed to Manila Hospital but later died, according to relatives. The suspect was identified as Jeffrey Macayon, 36, married, and lives in Sampalucan, Nueva Ecija.

Patrolman Ian Mark Benson Rance Male of the Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU) brought the suspect to the authorities. The suspect will face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
