DILG Raid Corrupt Barangay Chairman After Constituents Report Her
Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) conducted a surprise inspection and raid the office of a barangay chairman in Pasay City.
Recently, The DILG conducted a surprise inspection at the office of a barangay chairman in Pasay City. This was after someone complained to them that the captain was choosing people to give relief goods.
According to the complaint, only her supporters and voter are eligible to receive the relief good and assistance while other tenants and boarders received nothing form her. After the report, DILG immediately conducted surprise inspection and investigate the said allegations.
The video uploaded by Pabatid shows the barangay chairman and DILG officials were seen discussing. The lady chairman explained that all of her constituents including the said renters and boarders were given.

Previously, President Duterte said that barangays will be in charge of supplying food to constituents as they country is placed under enhanced community quarantine. Duterte also warned corrupt barangay officials that they will face arrest if fail to provide aid to constituents.
