Generous Barangay Chairman Earn Praise Online for Donating His Own Salary
A generous barangay chairman lauded by netizens after he donates his April salary to persons with disabilities (PWDs) and solo parents.
Nowadays, almost all citizens are unemployed and experiencing financial burden because of the prevailing Luzon-wide lockdown, government’s measure to contain the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Most of people are just waiting for the food aid and cash assistance from the government. Aside from government assistance, Celebrities, volunteers, affluent personalities, and local person are also giving food and cash aid to resident who are greatly affected by the lockdown.
Recently, a concerned netizen shared the good deeds of a barangay captain towards his PWD and single parent constituents. Netizen Elizabeth Abala Paguntalan proudly share their captain after sharing his own salary to PDWs and solo parents in their barangay.
The shared photo on Facebook shows Captain Galla as he puts the money in the envelope for distribution. According to Elizabeth, the grandson of Police Captain Jobeth Galla also provided additional assistance.
“Eto yung kapitan na naglalagay ng pera sa mga sobre, pinamamahagi nya sa mga PWD at Solo Parent, sahod nya daw po yan ngayong April at dinagdagan pa ng apo nyang pulis na si Police Officer Jobeth Galla, Wow.” Elizabeth wrote in his caption.
The residents of Barangay Bagong Sikat, Narra, Palawan are grateful to their generous Captain after receiving their financial support. They added that they did not regret voting for their Captain who was very reliable and willing to help in times of emergency.
