Dayanara Torres Reveals She’s Now Free of Cancer
DAYANARA TORRES – Puerto Rican actress Dayanara Torres said she is now free of cancer and will visit the Philippines after coronavirus pandemic.
Actress and beauty queen Dayanara Torres is one of the well-known foreign actresses in the Philippines. She has starred in several Pinoy movies and television shows including “ASAP.” In fact, she is dubbed as the “Dancing Queen” of the longest-running Sunday noontime variety show in the country.
The beauty queen had a relationship with the prominent actor Aga Muhlach. She’s previously married to American-born Puerto Rican singer Marc Anthony. They have two children.
Last year, Dayanara Torres revealed that she has been diagnosed with skin cancer. Her fiance Louis d’Esposito allegedly left her amid her battle with the disease.
On April 5, Dayanara Torres announced that she is now free from cancer. She revealed the good news during her IG Live video with the Filipina singer Pops Fernandez. She said her latest test result showed negative.
“For a year, I’ve been battling cancer. It was found last year. It was out of the blue. I was working. I was being a judge on a show which is like ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in Spanish, flying every week at the beginning of the year. The next morning, I found out it was cancer…”
“I started treatment for a year and I thank the Lord and everyone for all the prayers. It’s amazing the amount of love and support that I received. Last week, on Monday, I had my last test to just check if there’s anything kind of like left over hanging around, and everything was negative,” Dayanara said.
Dayanara Torres said she has to do some follow-up check-ups to make sure it won’t happen again. During her conversation with Pops Fernandez, she said she would visit the Philippines again after the coronavirus pandemic. “As soon as this is over, I definitely need to go back. I miss everybody,” she said.
