Teen Girl Sang Different ‘Ulam’ Made of Sardines for a Week

Teen girl goes viral after she sang a parody of Imelda Papin’s famous song expressing their different ‘ulam’ made of sardines for seven days.

Filipinos are creative in terms of twisting things out to come up with the new concepts, just like making different versions and lyrics out of famous songs. Each lyrics express the feelings and message.

Meanwhile, due to enhanced community quarantine declared by President Rodrigo Duterte to contain the continuous spread of dreadful coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), lots of people are relying to ready-to-eat and easy prepare food such as canned goods, instant noodles, etc.

Local government units were already distributing relief goods to their constituents. This way, it can temporarily solve their hunger and prevent them from going out.

Recently, a netizen of Facebook named Lirah Bell make a parody version of Imelda Papin’s famous song titled “Isang Linggong Pag-ibig” expressing their different ‘ulam’ made of sardines for seven days. She titles her song “Isang Linggong Sardinas.

On Monday, their ‘ulam’ was plain sardines. on Tuesday, odong or flour noodle with sardines. On Wednedays, sardines with papaya fruit. Thursday is sardines with ipomoea aquatic or ‘kangkong’ in Filipino. While on Friday, with sotanghon noddle.

Saturday dish was ‘upo’ or bottle gourd with sardines and on Sunday, another sardines. The girl seems frustrated for their sardine’s dishes. Well, as long as community quarantine still exist she have to bear with it.

Her parody video has gone viral on social media as it brings good vibes to the netizens. Netizens found it hilarious as other netizens relate in the same experience.
