Baras, Rizal Mayor Kathrine Robles Say She Tested Positive For Coronavirus

CORONAVIRUS – Another Rizal Province mayor announced she also tested positive for 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The deadly virus from Wuhan City, China has killed hundreds of thousands of people. Governments have taken drastic measures to halt the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus.

Celebrities, priests, and politicians are not exempt from catching coronavirus. In a previous article, the vice mayor of Jalajala municipality Jolet delos Santos died on Tuesday due to the virus. His son shared a heartbreaking message on Facebook.

On March 29, Taytay, Rizal Mayor Joric Gacula said that he tested positive for COVID-19. He said he experienced the coronavirus symptoms last week.

Another mayor in Rizal was diagnosed with the disease. Baras mayor Kathrine Robles took to Facebook to reveal that she contracted the virus. She goes on self-quarantine and said she’s in a “stable” condition.

The mayor asked the people she has interaction with since March 18 to immediately inform the Municipal Health Office for “contract tracing.” She assured the people in their community that they will continue the relief operations.

“Sa kasalukuyan, ako po ay nasa “stable condition” o maayos na kalagayan. Ito po ay aking ipinag-bigay alam upang ang lahat ng aking nakasalamuha mula Marso 18, 2020 ay kailangang sumangguni sa ating Municipal Health Office para sa “contact tracing” at sa pagsasagawa ng home quarantine”

In her Facebook post, Kathrine Robles also asked the people in the municipality to follow the “enhanced community quarantine” guidelines. “Ipagpatuloy po natin ang pagtupad at pagsunod sa mga alituntunin ng Department of Health (DOH) at ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Laban sa Pagsugpo sa COVID-19,” she said.

“Sa kabila nito ay patuloy pa rin po ang pagkakaloob ng serbisyo-publiko ng ating Lokal na Pamahalaan upang matugunan ang pangangailangan ng ating mga mamamayan,” she added.
