7 Policemen Tested Positive for COVID-19 While Other 145 are PUIs

Seven (7) policemen have tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) while there are 145 persons under investigation.

According to the report of ABS-CBN News, the Philippine National Police opened a quarantine facility in its headquarters in Quezon City for the personnel suspected of coronavirus infection.

The first floor of Camp Crame is allotted to health workers who help battling the dreadful coronavirus while the 2nd to 4th floor of the building are reserved for policemen suspected of contracting the respiratory illness.

Based on the report, there are seven policemen have tested positive with coronavirus disease. As addition, there are 145 policemen considered as persons under investigation (PUIs) or those who had contact with COVID-positive personnel, while more than 1,000 are under monitoring.

Policemen, health workers, and frontliners are prone to disease because the made a contact with random people every day, in the checkpoint, hospitals, and public places. So now wonder if they get contracted with the virus even though they are complete in PPEs.

As of now, there are 2,084 cases confirmed after the Department of Health earlier announced the 538 new cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines. Death toll increase to 88, while 49 patients who have recovered from the disease.
