SILAY CITY – Here’s a viral photo of volunteers accordingly from Silay City, Negros Occidental packing ration of rice which will be given to people amid the crisis.
Enhanced community quarantine outside Luzon has also been raised in Provincial Government of Negros Occidental. This will start at 12:01 AM on March 30, 2020,until 11:59 of April 14, 2020. And the cities in this province are Bacolod, Bago, Cadiz, Escalante, Himamaylan, Kabankalan, La Carlota, Sagay, San Carlos, Silay, Sipalay, Talisay, and Victorias.
In this time of a major health crisis where everyone is advised to just stay at home in order to prevent the spread of the deadly Coronavirus Disease 2019, work is greatly affected. By this, with work suspension and all, the government and other private individuals conduct relief goods operations to be given to people who are in need in order to survive the ECQ.
Howeve, just recently, a photo from Silay, one of the cities from Negros Occidental, has emerged online where some people who were packing rice to be given out to the poor as captured doing something unexpected.
The situation is that the rice are being poured at the center and repacked but these ladies were seen stepping on the rice they are repacking barefooted. The photo has ignited fury from the resident and the action was lambasted.
