Elderly Man In Self-Isolation Had No Food For 10 Days Due To Having No Family
ELDERLY MAN IN SELF-ISOLATION – Amid the coronavirus pandemic, there are several stories that are just heartbreaking to hear.
People who were tested positive for the virus were told to undergo a self-quarantine. Although there are a couple of things that can get a person through that, some aren’t so lucky.
According to an article from MazaInside, an elderly man was left with nothing to eat after he was under self-isolation for 10 days. This was because the man had no family to help with his daily needs.
Sharing the heartbreaking story was a young woman named Lucy. She recalled seeing an old man inside his car. Afterward, the man got out and asked for her help. Additionally, she emphasized how the man appeared to be losing consciousness.
Lucy, a nurse, called for an ambulance and stayed with the elderly man for five hours. During that time, the man told her that he hadn’t eaten in 10 days, the reason for him losing consciousness.
When the ambulance arrived, they took the man to the emergency room. Following this, health officials stated that Lucy and her family would have to go under self-quarantine themselves.
As per the article, Lucy was fine with that knowing that she had saved an elderly man’s life that night.
In the fight against the coronavirus, it is important that we remain helpful to others. However, we need to take note of our own health.
