Video of Sen. Pimentel Attending Party Before Tested Positive Leaked
Video footage of Senator Koko Pimentel attending a social gathering before tested positive with coronavirus (COVID-19) surfaced online.
Previously, Senator Koko Pimentel III tested positive with coronavirus diseases 2019 (COVID-19). He is the second one from the senate to have the contagious disease after Sen. Migz Zubiri.
Based on a previous report, Pimentel’s swab for testing was taken last March 20, 2020 and it was last night March 24, when the results came out. He was at the hospital when he found he was positive, while he accompanied his pregnant wife.
Based on health protocols, if one person shows symptoms of the viral disease, he or she must go under self-quarantine for 14 days. Pimentel is facing controversy after he allegedly exposed some staff of Makati Medical Center to COVID-19. He earned criticisms from the online community and known personality for his irresponsible and reckless behavior.
Meanwhile, video footage is circulating online where he was spotted socializing with different high-profile personalities including Senator Manny Pacquiao. It was uploaded by Founding Chairman of the Communist Party of the Philippines Joma Sison.
In the video, Pimentel can be seen cheek-kissing on some of the guests while carrying a plate of food. Sison suspected that the lawmaker was already infected with coronavirus when he attended the said party.
“Sabi ng nagpadala na isa ito sa dalawang parties na dinaluhan ni Koko after he was found to have Covid-19. At any rate, binatikos na siya ng isang ospital sa pagkakalat,” Sison said on the comment.
