Matteo Guidicelli Raises Over P4 Million For Families Affected by COVID-19 Crisis

MATTEO GUIDICELLI – Kapamilya actor Matteo Guidicelli raised over P4 million to help the families affected by the enhanced community quarantine.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte imposed “enhanced community quarantine” to control the spread of the coronavirus. The government suspended all classes and issued travel restrictions. 

The COVID-19 pandemic clearly affected the daily wage laborers. Several celebrities have offered their helping hand to support the poor families in Metro Manila.

On March 22, Kapamilya actor Matteo Guidicelli and singer Kean Cipriano raised over P4 million for the families affected by the community quarantine. They collected the amount through an online show on Matteo’s Facebook Page. 

The Filipino-Italian artist partnered with Callalily vocalist’s record label, OC Records, Philippine Army and Landers supermarket for the effort. Kean kicked off his band’s 2018 song “Ex.”

Matteo Guidicelli also included a link where people could course their donations. Other artists such as Jed Madela, Gian Magdangal, Janine Teñoso, and Jason Dy also lent their voices to the effort. 

When it was Janine’s turn to sing, Matteo’s wife Sarah Geronimo surprised fans by joining her for a duet performance. Celebrities including Jericho Rosales, Judy Ann Santos, and Nico Bolzico joined to express their thoughts on the ongoing pandemic.

Matteo Guidicelli revealed that they were able to raise over P4 million on his Instagram story. 

“We just finished our first episode of One voice Pilipinas and guess what we were able to raise 4 million pesos. Thanks to each and everyone of you. Thank you very much to all the artists, doctors and everybody who volunteered,” he said.
