The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) recently imposed stricter security measures after COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease 2019) cases rose in the city.

According to GMA News, some cops lined up in the said road while carrying the signs that read as follows:

  • “I stayed at work for you. Please stay home for us,”
  • “Stay home to save lives,”

This is their appeal to the public to strictly observe the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon.

Meanwhile, a part of East Avenue, from this road up to BIR road, is now under a “facility quarantine” as the area is near hospitals where COVID-19 patients and PUIs are admitted.

A part of E, Rodriguez has been closed, from Broadway Avenue up to Santa Cecilia Street, following a confirmed case at the nearby villages of Barangay Kalusugan and Barangay Damayang Lagi.

As per the report, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte said that there are now 31 confirmed cases of Coronavirus disease in the city.

GMA News has a video of the report on YouTube which you can check right here:
