Bacolod City Update: 5 New Patients Admitted As “Persons Under Investigation”

Bacolod City update regarding persons under investigation and monitoring.

BACOLOD CITY UPDATE – Bacolod City Inter-Agency Task Force Against COVID-19 Spokesperson Dr. Grace Tan reports 5 new patients as PUIs.

Among the cities which implemented heightened community quarantine is the Bacolod City based on the executive order released by Mayor Evelio “Bing” Leonardia. It started last March 16 and will last until further notice. This is a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease which affects the respiratory system. This is highly contagious spread through droplets.

Travel by land, sea, or air has been restricted and the community quarantine being heightened, people who can enter the city are those who still have work, with urgent medical needs, and among other important incidents which should be backed up by legal documents and identification cards.

In a previous article, Mayor Bing requested reduced mall operation, a movement to further precautionary measure in containing the virus. The Executive Advisory requested reduced mall operation schedule and huge businesses to reduce number of people for duty. Meanwhile, pharmacies, the banks, the government offices, the convenience stores, the clinics, and the bakeries will remain open.

And now, an update from Bacolod City Inter-Agency Task Force Against COVID-19 Spokesperson Dr. Grace Tan, there have been 5 new patients admitted from different hospitals in Bacolod and these patients are under investigation. Meanwhile, out of 12 PUIs on Thursday, 6 of them have been discharged after exhibiting stable condition but they will still be under monitoring.

“Six of the 11 PUIs are previously admitted. Seven males and 4 females. Five are newly-admitted PUIs. All PUIs admitted are in stable condition,” says Dr. Tan according to TV Patrol Negros. And the total persons under monitoring in the particular city reached 1,123 as of press time according to Bacolod City Health Office.
