Bela Padilla Say She Has Raised Over P400K For Street Vendors

Bela Padilla Give Update About Fund Raising Campaign

BELA PADILLA – Actress Bela Padilla announced that she has raised more than P400,000 for the street vendors in Metro Manila.

Filipina actress Bela Padilla is one of the brightest stars from the Kapamilya network. Last month, she started online fundraising “Pagkain Para sa Pinoy” for the informal workers in Metro Manila.

The 28-year-old celebrity asked her Twitter followers if there are already agencies who handle donations for the people who are affected by the “community quarantine” imposed by the government.  She said she wants to help them because they won’t be able to earn enough money amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Last night, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte announced tougher measures to combat the spread of the Wuhan virus.

Bela Padilla also asked for some help from government officials. She said food drives and soup kitchen might help the poor Filipinos this month.

“To all our government officials, I know your health and your family’s safety is your top priority right now as it should be but I was hoping I could get in touch with anyone of you in the Metro Manila area and maybe we can do food drives or soup kitchens this month? Thank you!” she wrote.
