Italian Man Uses Huge Disc For Social Distancing Measures
ITALIAN MAN – Italy has become the worst-hit country of COVID-19 in Europe forcing residents to get creative.
Recently, the Italian Prime Minister placed the entire nation under lockdown. Along with this, essential shops such as pharmacies and grocery stores were left open.
As such, residents tried their best to avoid exposure to the virus. Moreover, experts believe that the most effective way to do so is through social distancing.
However, one Italian in Rome took this to a whole new level! You could even say that his methods were “Ri-disc-ulous”.
In an attempt to avoid COVID-19, an Italian man wore a giant disc around his body to enforce social distancing.
Importantly, the World Health Organization (WHO) suggested maintaining at least 1 meter (3 feet) of distance from those with symptoms. Likewise, the measure also involved staying at home.
With this, WHO urges people to avoid people that show symptoms of COVID-19 such as coughing or sneezing. Small liquid droplets sprayed could contain the deadly virus.
Currently, COVID-19 caused more than 827 deaths in Italy. Additionally, it had infected over 12,462 people in the country, the highest outside of China.
Meanwhile, South Korea had seen a decrease in the number of daily confirmed cases. Also, they did this without ever imposing a citywide lockdown.
Yesterday, China sent about 31 tonnes of medical supplies and equipment to Italy to help fight the virus. Along with this, 9 medical experts flew to Italy to assist with the fight.
