Safety first! Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez postponed their wedding
Sarah Lahbati-Richard Gutierrez Wedding — The celebrity couple announced that they their wedding will be postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak.
The couple has been preparing for their big day since last year. Finally their wedding day was set on March 14, Saturday, at the a high-end hotel in Global City, Taguig. Reportedly, they came up with the decision to hold their wedding in the Philippines to spend the day with many friends and loved ones instead of holding it abroad.
Before the day of their union, Sarah already held two bachelorrette parties with her closest female showiz and non-showbiz friends. The first one was in Hong Kong and it was followed by a beach getaway in Siargao.
However, on March 12, Richard shared on his Instagram post that they decided to choose safety first over their grand wedding with their “bigating principal sponsors” including three presidents of the Philippines – President Rodrigo Duterte and former Presidents Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Joseph Estrada.
The couple does not want to put their loved ones and guests to be at risk once they will push through with the wedding. Here’s the joint statement of Sarah Lahbati and Richard Gutierrez:
“As much as we want to celebrate our love with our family and friends, in light of the recent situation we have decided to postpone our wedding as we do not want to put anyone at risk. Thank you so much to those who flew in and to everyone who worked so hard for our special day. We only wish good health for everyone and we hope to celebrate with you as soon as things get better.
