The young politician took to his Instagram account his answer to those who are spreading fake news about the virus outbreak. He shared that on March 10, the mayors of cities in the National Capital Region (NCR) had a meeting in Malacanang with President Rodrigo Duterte, officials from the Department of Health (DOH), and World Health Organization (WHO).

In that meeting, they decided to suspend the classes in all levels from March 10 to March 14. Following that post, Mayor Vico slammed a headline stating that a family tested positive of COVID-19. “ANO BA ANG NAPAPALA NG MGA GUMAGAWA NG FAKE NEWS NA GANITO?” the government official said.

He also encouraged everyone to stay calm amid this health concern but the readiness is still there.

Furthermore, he also said that people should spread truthful information regarding the COVID -19 with the responsibility of checking first before sharing. The Mayor also gave information where to contact in case there is a suspected case.

He stated: “Keep calm. Mahugas ng kamay. Umiwas sa matataong lugar. Wag hawakan ang mukha. Wala munang beso-beso. Kung may sintomas, dumiretso sa Brgy Health Center o tumawag sa 8-643-0000.”
