Accordingly, his five-week training program will be at the 6th Infantry Division in Cheorwon, Gangwon Province. However, due to the new novel coronavirus outbreak in South Korea, the ceremonies have been suspended until further notice.

The notice was accordingly sent to him last February which was amid his legal battles on charges filed against him regarding overseas gambling and arranging prostitution. Thus, because of his enlistment, the trial will be given to Korean military court system.

Military Manpower Administration stated last February, “We will work with the Prosecutors’ Office to have a fair and consistent trial. We will consider civil court results and progress in the case in conducting the trial.”

To serve 18 months and seven days, he will be discharged on September 16, 2021 as per report. He is supposed to do this last March 2019 but his involvement to some legal activities delayed the process. He retired from the entertainment industry but insisted innocence over the accusations thrown against him. Before his enlistment, he was spotted partying with friends in a club.
