Before 2019 has ended, singer TJ Monterde finally dropped down to his knees and popped the question to long-time girlfriend KZ Tandingan to marry him. She instantly said “Yes” and he could just thank God for his wife to be.
The engagement of the celebrity couple has been flooded of congratulations and best wishes from their fellow celebrities and supporters. And based on a previous article, they just had their prenup in Japan and everything was candid capturing the realness of their quirky and funny relationship.
However, Martin Nievera, KZ’s mentor when she joined X-Factor where it paved way for her success as a singer, jokingly asked if they did the same thing that Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli did. Sarah and Matteo had a secret Christian wedding that it was even kept as a secret from the Popstar’s mother. But Mommy Divine was still able to find out.
Meanwhile, in a Twitter post, TJ clarified and explained, “Hello sa lahat ng nag ta-tag sa akin, thank you po sa mga congrats pero engagement shoot pa lang po yun. wala pang mismong kasal kay gatigom pa mi.”
KZ and TJ have been together as a couple for almost five years. The singer pursued the X-Factor champion for a year before she made it official. They were friends before everything between them bloomed into love for TJ is a friend of KZ’s friend from X-Factor Kedebon Colim.
What she likes most about her fiance now is his patience and understanding especially when it comes to the nature of their work.
