Japan to Ban Entry of Foreign Nationals From South Korea

Japan is now planning to ban the entry of foreign nationals who visited the city of Daegu, the epicenter of coronavirus in South Korea,

The Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) or popularly known as Novel Coronavirus (nCoV) has become the headlines of both local and international news companies. It has been also the most discussed topic online.

The deadly virus has already affected thousands of people worldwide as it continues to spread in different countries all around the world. The virus outbreak causes fear and panic to the public as hundreds of victims died due to the disease.

Many countries are already implementing stricter rules and regulations to prevent the spread of the disease. The medical experts are also exerting effort to formulate the medicine to cure the virus.

On Wednesday (February 26, 2020), government sources said that Japan is planning to ban the entry of foreigners who have visited Daegu City and the neighboring county of Cheongdo in North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. Those areas are the center of the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Japanese Foreign Ministry raised its travel alert for the city and also asked Japanese people not to make unnecessary trips in southeastern South Korea to avoid the disease.
