Northeast Monsoon To Bring Rains Over Parts of Philippines, PAGASA Says

LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon would bring rains over some parts of the Philippines.

On Saturday (February 22, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The northeast monsoon would continue to affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA said that the northeast monsoon would affect the weather condition over Luzon and the Visayas. Amihan would bring cloudy weather conditions with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon.

The Amihan would also bring cloudy skies with rains over the Visayas, Bicol Region, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, and Romblon. Flashfloods and landslides are also expected in these areas during scattered light to moderate rains.

The same weather condition would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers in Mindanao.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the eastern section of the country and the rest of northern and southern Luzon would be rough. Moderate to rough surrounding sea conditions are expected over the rest of the country.
