Here’s Why Ji Chang Wook Manila, Taiwan, Thailand Events Postponed
JI CHANG WOOK – The reason why Ji Chang Wook’s fan meeting in Manila, Taiwan, Thailand, and South Korea fan meeting was postponed.
A fan meeting is where idols get to mingle with their fans without having to focus on giving their best performance. Some artists allow their die-hard fans to make some requests like doing a song cover.
Due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), some fan meetings in the Philippines were canceled. The deadly virus has caused the death of 2000 and sickened tens of thousands of people.
The lead actor of the Netflix’ ‘To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You‘ was set to visit the Philippines in February but due to the threat of the COVID-19 outbreak, the sponsors of Noah Centineo and Lana Condor’s events decided to cancel the meet and greet events.
In a previous article, Filipino fans asked for the possibility of rescheduling the fan meeting. However, both Netflix and Bench haven’t posted any updates if they will be moving it to other dates.
Korean star Ji Chang Wook’s Manila fan meeting is also postponed due to the coronavirus scare, according to his agency Glorious Entertainment.
“In order to prevent the spread of the Novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) and related damage, we decided to postpone the ‘Ji Chang Wook 2020 Asia Tour Fan Meeting’ in Manila (Philippines). The performance will be included in the Asia Fan-Meeting Tour that will resume later.”
Based on a report from Cosmopolitan, Ji Chang Wook’s tour in Asia was supposed to start in January. His tour included stops in Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines. Aside from his meet and greet in the Philippines, his events in Taiwan, Thailand, and South Korea have been postponed too.
The Korean actor is known for his tv series dramas such as “The K2,” “Suspicious Partner,” and “Melting Me Softly.”
