Creator of The “Crying in a Puddle” Mem Dies at 29 Due to Cancer

Canadian artist and creator of The “Crying in the Puddle” meme named Qinni die at the age of 29, after battling stage four cancer.

Many of us used this meme without knowing who the creator was. Qinni or Qing Hang, the artist who created this puddle of tears, passed away on 10th February as she battled with cancer.

Qinni was the artist behind this meme depicting someone lying in a puddle of tears. The 29-year-old Canadian was diagnosed with Stage 4 Fibrosis Sarcoma cancer back in December 2019, as World of Buzz reported.

She announced her diagnosis on her social media account, while keeping her followers updated about her health status. Doctors informed her that she only had a year or a year and a half to live. Unfortunately, her health worsened quickly and faster than expected.

She succumbed to the illness earlier than expected, shocking her followers. But her situation is more complicated than that. Prior to the cancer diagnosis, Qinni was put through open-heart surgery four times before she was diagnosed with cancer.

She turned to art to distract herself from the pain. Many fans and artists knew her from her DeviantArt days since 2008, and her art profession had taken off since then.

One of her famous works is this, which sparked the “galaxy freckles” makeup trend. The artist was thrilled to see how her art had such a great impact on different kinds of people as it transcended to makeup.
