According to GMA News, the cop, who was part of the drug enforcement unit was accused by the partner of an arrested suspect on Monday evening.

Police Major General Debold Sinas , chief of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said that the cop was identified as Police Corporal Hadzmer Amer.

The chief added that they conducted an entrapment operation along General Luna Street in Tuktukan against the cop. Amer allegedly demanded ₱35,000 in exchange for the dropping of the case filed against the complainant’s partner. This was based on the complaint the authorities received.

As per the report, Sinas did not disclose the identity of the complainant. He did say that Amer had noticed the presence of policemen in the location where he met with the complainant.

Amer was said to ride his motorcycle and escaped.

Authorities have been looking for Amer as they urged him to report and explain his side of the story. He would be charged for a robbery-extortion case.
