Barangay Kagawad In Sampaloc Arrested For Assaulting Bedspacer
BARANGAY KAGAWAD – A barangay kagawad was arrested after allegedly harrassing a bedspacer in his rental house in Manila.
According to GMA News, the bedspacer, aged 21 years, said that she was occupying the rental house owned by Kagawad Chendong dela Cruz, aged 44, at Barangay 462 in Sampaloc for three months.
The victim added that the rent cost at about ₱6,000, adding that it’s costly since she has no one to occupy the room with.
The victim added that she cannot pay the rent in time and talked with the Dela Cruz. After the discussion Dela Cruz then kissed her and took her to a vacant room and assaulted her.
The victim was terrified that she could not do anything.
As per the report, after the incident, she headed to the police station to report the incident to arrest the suspect.
The victim also submitted their conversation where the official told her that her rent is free as long as she does not report it to the police.
Dela Cruz was arrested not long after and admitted his crime. He, however, claimed that he did not harass her.
