PNP-NPA Encounter Takes Place in Iloilo

PNP-NPA ENCOUNTER – A policeman was left dead by the encounter that sparked between the New People’s Army (NPA) and the members of the police forces.

Policemen are among those with the riskiest jobs in any country. Although they are paid well, every day, their lives at risk most especially when there are operations.

Also, there is always the risk that some people might take revenge against them for implementing the law. That is why most cops are really advised to be vigilant wherever they are.

Several happenings in the past have also placed on records several police deaths during an encounter. They are in the pursuit of achieving peace for the people and they lost their lives to it.

Recently, in Iloilo, another encounter took place. The said encounter was between the members of the Philippine National Police and the New People’s Army (NPA).

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the PNP-NPA encounter in Iloilo left a police dead. The cop was identified as Philippine National Police’s Mobile Force Batallion’s 6th Reconnaissance Company Team Leader Captain Efren Espanto Jr.

The opposing forces had an encounter in Barangay Aglobong based on the report on Wednesday afternoon. According to Janiuay Police, the police forces are conducting a combat operation in the place when the encounter took place.

The group that the cops had an encounter with are suspected members of the CPP-NPA’s Central Front Committee. As of now, there are still no further information regarding the incident.
