All Bacolod City PUIs For COVID-19 Discharged From Hospital

BACOLOD CITY – The vice mayor of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental said that all persons under investigation for COVID-19 were already discharged from the hospital.

Previously, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran confirmed that there were 8 PUIs in the city, among them were 7 who were rendered negative based on the results of the confirmatory testing from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).

One PUI was actually classified as a person under monitoring (PUM). The last PUM had a current checkup on Monday afternoon.

Recently, it was confirmed that all PUIs in the capital city of Negros Occidental are rendered negative from the 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).

According to Panay News, it was Familiaran, who also chairs the city’s inter-agency task force, that all patients under investigation (PUIs) for COVID-19 in the city have already been discharged.

He added that there are no PUIs admitted at the Emerging Infectious Diseases facility. Among those were three that were discharged on Monday which one of the four confined in a hospital run by the Department of Health (DOH) was discharged last week.

As per the report, the said four were among the eight confined in teritiary hospitals in the city for the past 2 weeks. Drilon said that those who were confined in the hospital were “discharged in stable condition and with no complications during the course of confinement”.

“Let us praise and thank the Lord that all PUIs were negative for the virus, but it’s not over till it’s over. So let’s continue to be vigilant,”

The vice mayor further urged the public ti inquire information and updates via the Department of Health website and stop spreading fake news.
