Veteran actor Christopher de Leon revealed what he considers as his biggest achievement in his showbiz career.
Christopher has already proven how good he is in front of the camera portraying different roles for TV and movies. Throughout his career in the entertainment industry, he received countless recognitions. He was able to witness the Golden Years of Philippine cinema and he is tagged as the Drama King of movies in the country.
However, there is another achievement that he is more proud of. During the recent press conference for his latest endorsement, the veteran actor shared what he thinks as his greatest achievement when it comes to his acting career, based on the article from PEP.
“My biggest achievements, the work that I have done, the classic movies I made is still being restored, remastered, and it’s still being shown. Fortunately, yung movies ko, ako yata ang may pinakamarami na na-restore na pelikula. Sa mga direktor naman, nakatrabaho ko sina Eddie Romero, Lino Brocka, Ishmael Bernal, Celso Ad Castillo, Gerry de Leon,” Christopher said.
Four of those directors were already received the National Artist recognition. The veteran actor did Banaue (1975) with direk Gerry de Leon. In 1976, he did the Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon? with direk Eddie Romero and Agila in 1980.
Meanwhile, direk Lino Brocka directed Christopher de Leon in the movie Tinimbang Ka Ngunit Kulang (1974), Cain At Abel (1982), at Gumapang Ka Sa Lusak (1990). Direk Ishmael Bernal directed the movies Tisoy! (1977), Ikaw Ay Akin (1978), Relasyon (1982), at Broken Marriage (1983) featuring the veteran actor, based on the article.
Christopher is now part of the new afternoon TV series of the KimXi tandem (Kim Chiu and Xian Lim) titled Love Thy Woman. He is now in his 46th year in the industry.
