BIGGEST DEATH TOLL IN A SINGLE DAY – Mainland China has recorded its largest number of deaths in a single day on Monday.

According to health authorities from China, 108 more people had died. Along with this, 2,478 new cases were also confirmed.

With this, the global death toll for the virus has now reached at least 1,107. In addition, over 43,101 people have been infected globally.

Government Hiding Actual Numbers?

Some experts suggested that the actual number of cases is much higher than what’s reported on state media. According to them, over 100,000 people could already be infected.

Also, a Chinese billionaire had claimed to have insider information regarding the true state of the coronavirus in China.

Businessman Guo Wengui revealed leaks from Wuhan crematoriums. He said that based on the number of burning bodies in their furnaces, the death toll could be as high as 50,000.

In addition, he also claimed to have insider information that the true number of infected from the virus is over 1.5 million in China. He emphasized that these are not suspected cases, but confirmed ones.

Trouble At Sea

Meanwhile, the cruise ship crisis still continued with 135 cases recorded in the Diamond Princess. Following this, another ship boarding over 2,000 passengers continued to look for a port after being denied by at least four ports.

According to reports from CNN, the Diamond Princess is the largest concentration of the virus outbreak outside of China.

The ship was quarantined in Japan since February 4. The total number of people on board is about 3,700. In addition, there were at least 24 Americans on board the ship.
