PH bet Katrina Llegado finishes as 5th runner-up in Reina Hispanoamericana 2019
Filipina beauty queen Katrina Llegado finished as 5th runner-up in Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 pageant that was held in Bolivia.
Katrina was among the candidates who already made a mark during the pre-pageant competition. That was her second time in Bolivia as the pageant that was supposed to be held last year was postponed last minute. Because of that, she went back to the country.
The postponement did not hinder her to prepare more. She was hailed as one of the finalists in the National Costume competition and got the chance to be featured in the popular news publication in Bolivia.
During the pageant night, Katrina also showed how prepared she is. Her efforts landed her a spot in Top 11. At the end of the competition, she was hailed as the 5th runner-up. The Filipina beauty queen expressed how happy she is for the support that she received from her fellow Pinoys.
“Maraming Salamat Filipinas! 🇵🇭 It is an honour representing our country. I couldn’t be more proud shouting “Filipinas” knowing millions of Filipino all fighting right behind me! Our journey to Reina Hispanoamericana might have come to its end, but i’ll forever be grateful for this experience,” she wrote in her Instagram post.
She also congratulated the newly-crowned Reina Hispanoamerican 2019, Regina Peredo, from Mexico. “My roommate and literally my sister from Mexico, you did amazing and I am so happy and excited for your beautiful reign,” Katrina added.
Meanwhile, Gabrielle Vilela was hailed Virreina Hispanoamericana. In 2017, beauty queen-actress Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana. She was the first-ever Filipina to win this crown during the first year that the country joined the pageant.
