PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Saturday (February 8)

LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon would bring rains over parts of the country.

On Saturday (February 8, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The weather bureau reported that the Amihan would continue to affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA said that the northeast monsoon would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Marinduque, Romblon and Mindoro province.

Cloudy skies with light rains are expected over the remaining parts of Luzon. The localized thunderstorms would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers over the Visayas and Mindanao.

The weather agency also warned the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides due to scattered moderate to occasionally heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over the northern Luzon would be rough. The surrounding sea conditions over the rest of the country would be moderate to rough, according to the weather bureau.
