There is a law in the Philippines for abused animals, RA8485: THE ANIMAL WELFARE ACT OF 1998. Any person involved harming, killing and to torture, any animals will be prosecuted and will be liable to specific punishments.

Recently, Viral News Today shared news where a man in his near 40’s was arrested by authorities for slaughtering and cook to sell dog meat in Nueva Ecija morning, February 6.

The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group personnel including the members of the Animal Kingdom Foundation raided the slaughterhouse and confiscated skewered dogs and seems ready to roast.

The man will face charges against the violation of the Animal Welfare Act that will be filed by the authorities including the Animal Kingdom Foundation.
